My story

Updated on May 9th 2012 at 5:54 PM from the JustGiving API

A big thank you to everyone who has donated thus far. A special thanks to Graham Russell of the Rotary Club of Bridge of Allan and Dunblane for servicing my bike!!

Hi I was diagnosed with Parkinson's last September and its a really frustrating and at times painful thing to live with. I have set myself a challenge to compete in this years Pedal 4 Parkinson's at Stirling over 20 miles. This will be a real test for me now with reduced mobility and in truth I do not know if its achieveable but I intend to give it a real go. Those that know me will know I dont give in easy!

The money raised will be used to assist the fantastic nurses who look after the likes of myself with real compassion and friendship which is so important. Please support them through my efforts by donating to my quest!

Thank you

Tony

Parkinson’s UK

Charity Registration No. 258197 and Scotland SC037554

Every hour, someone in the UK is told they have Parkinson’s. Because we’re here, no one has to face Parkinson’s alone. We bring people with Parkinson’s, their carers and families together via our network of local groups, our website and free confidential helpline. Specialist nurses, our supporters and staff provide information and training on every aspect of Parkinson’s. As the UK’s Parkinson’s support and research charity we’re leading the work to find a cure, and we’re closer than ever. We also campaign to change attitudes and demand better services. Our work is totally dependent on donations. Help us to find a cure and improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson’s.
