At Young Lives vs Cancer, we help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. We’ll face it all together – but we can’t do it without you. Visit www.younglivesvscancer.org.uk

Story

Every day, ten children and young people in the UK receive the devastating news they have cancer.

This diagnosis is only the beginning of a long, freighting and challenging journey; with emotional, practical and financial implications for the whole family.

Access to care is one of these challenges and on average, a family will need to travel 60 miles to access the specialist treatment their loved one needs. This requires enormous sacrifice on behalf of the family, with life-changing implications. CLIC Sargent exists to reduce these implications. Providing immeasurable support from diagnosis to recovery.

We at TORI strongly believe in this cause and want to do whatever we can to raise awareness and funds for this fantastic charity. As a result, TORI will be embarking on their own journey, with a 60 mile Cycle Ride Challenge!

The event will be held on the 3rd February 2016 in Jubilee Place, Canary Wharf and will be aiming to collectively cycle as many 60 mile sets as possible (on static bikes) in a 12-hour period . The purpose of this is to gain a perspective on the sacrifices families have to make.

The fundraising target for this event is £15,000! So please support us in whatever way you can.

Many thanks on behalf of TORI Global and for more information, visit the CLIC Sargent website:
