So... my friend Rob has persuaded me to run in the Manchester Marathon at the end of April (I agreed just to shut him up). I didn't think it would be too bad having originally thought it was 26km (not miles) - a mistake I often make, even in training (if some of you follow me on Facebook you'll know what I mean!).

 

I've never ran a race in my life but heck, if Oprah can run it in just under 4.5 hours, that's what I'm aiming to beat!

 

I'm running for The Christie charity, as most of you know it is one that is close to my heart with them looking after my mother through some difficult times over the last few years.
