<p>&nbsp;</p> <p>I recently watched a BBC Three programme called 'The Worst place in the World for Women' narrated by Thandie Newton. The show highlighted the many hardships that women in the Democratic Republic of Congo go through. Every day women and girls as young as 24 months were raped. Not only did this documentary move me to tears but also made me angry that this was happening.</p> <p>I am now coming to the end of my three years studying at The Academy of Contemporary Musicand have decided that my last showcase shall be a charity event. The songs I have chosen to sing have all come from powerful women in the music industry and hopefully through your donation we will be able to empower more women of the Congo and give them a safe place to stay.</p> <p>Every penny counts, so please donate as much as you can!</p> <p>Thank you!</p>
