Story
Thank you for visiting our Just Giving page:)
Myself and 10 friends are raising money for Kings Mill Hospital's Oncology Fund. My Best Friend (Wendy's) Mum was diagnosed with aggressive terminal Bladder Cancer September 2012. It was a terrible shock, and upsetting for us all. She's being looked after and treated by the staff on the Oncology Unit at our local hospital, so I thought I might try a challenge to help raise funds, and get a few friends involved;)
We'll be walking 51 miles over 2 days on the 29th & 30th June 2013 from Kirkby in Ashfield to Glossop. We've got alot of people involved who just can't wait to help:) There are cost's involved with this challenge and we have been lucky enough that we've had generous donations from three companies.
Now we need your help, we can't raise money without you. So please dig deep and lets see if we can beat the hell out of this goal:) The other nutters sorry friends who are joining me on this 51 mile trek are:
Andy Wilton, Wendy Wilton, Dave Goodwin, Tracy Parkes, Phil Meadows, Gordon Flint, Wayne and Julie Peberday, Dave Freemantle and Emily Vine.
We''ve also got our trusty drivers, not only for our lift back (as we don't want to walk it;) but to help along the way with rest stops, they are Julie Guyatt, Neil and Richard Parkes.
We'd love a gathering at the finish line, so please feel free to turn up on Sunday 30th June, at Norfolk Square, Glossop sometime around tea time (assuming all goes well) on behalf me, my best friend and her family, I Thank You very much for your Support xx
