Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit Sandy’s and my JustGiving page to honour the memory of our beloved Mum, Ora Warren-Goodman.
We chose to support Trinity Hospice in Clapham because of the amazing and ongoing support our whole family received during Mum's battle with cancer. Even before Mum went to stay there, she was visited and supported by one of Trinity’s nurses while living at Sandy's. Our very caring Trinity nurse was determined to have mum benefit from Trinity’s fantastic team and arranged for her to be admitted as soon as the chemo stopped.
The Hospice is a warm, gentle, spotless and inviting home from home. The staff never failed to make Mum, Sandy and me feel welcome and at ease - Mum's room became her bedroom. No request was too trivial to bother with and many of the staff and volunteers became Mum's friends in those last few weeks.
Right to the last, Mum managed to retain her strength of character and her humour, due in no small part to the care she received at Trinity. Staff commented to Sandy and me what an interesting and intelligent woman she so obviously was and how many friends were constantly calling on the phone! They certainly enjoyed having her stay with them.
Please donate, however small a sum, to support the ongoing, valuable palliative care which Trinity Hospice provides. Trinity helped to make an unbearable situation a lot easier for mum and all of us to go through. We thank them all from the bottom of our hearts.
