Story
I have decided to run 3 events (a total of 45 miles, without training miles), so that I can hopefully raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and so that I can do something in memory of my Gramp.
Thanks to the support of Macmillan, the last time that I saw Gramp was in the comfort of his own home, where we discussed my place in the London Marathon, 2012. Gramp believed I could run it with adequate training - but was concerned that I was not ready to run it this year.
As ever he was right - I wasn't ready for 26.2 miles in April 2012, so I deferred my place to guarantee a place in the 2013 Marathon.
In preparation I am running the Macmillan 10k on June 17th, 2012 in Regents Park, the Run to the Beat Half Marathon on October 28th, 2012 and then finally the London Marathon on 21st April, 2013.
By running in these events I hope that I can raise awareness of Macmillan and the great work that they do and hopefully also persuade you to donate some money to help them to support others.
I have paid my entry for all of the events and so 100% of your money will go directly to Macmillan.
Feel free to join me for a run or come and show your support at any of the events!
Thanks for taking the time to read this! x
