<p>Well, I did it. And all I can say is it was A-MAZ-ING!!!! I have never had such a buzz as I did leading up to the walk and it is still with me now, 8 hours afterwards. I feel as though I could take on the world at the moment.</p> <p>I admit, when we got outside, and I saw the fire, I thought to myself "this is going to be embarrassing, I'm going to freeze". So, to save face I didn't go first, instead I went about 5th. But seeing the others before me do it helped, and when I was asked if I was ready I knew I was, and off I walked, purposefully, over 17-20ft of burning hot coals. And I didn't feel a thing!!!</p> <p>For anyone who is looking for a unique way to raise funds, I would say do this. It is incredibly empowering (and I never thought I'd say that). And if anyone tries to argue with you afterwards you can just say to them "I've walked barefoot across burning coals, you?". You're bound to win for a bit.</p> <p>Unfortunatley the pictures didn't come out too well as there were lots of people moving around. However my mum did manage to get one of me walking on the coals, although it is a bit blurred. Hopefully I will get hold of some more later.</p> <p><strong>So here's why I did it</strong></p> <p>Everyone who knows me, knows how mad I am, and how much I love my cats. So when I heard that I could do a firewalk in aid of my local branch of Cats Protection I jumped at the chance. We cover the areas defined by postcodes MK40 - MK45 and SG15 - SG19 (only parts of SG19).
