As a support worker for Kisharon I am privileged to be a part of the valuable work that is done for adults and children with learning disabilities. In this happy, caring environment, the people of Kisharon are able to face the major challenges in their lives and overcome them, thereby enriching their lives and the lives of those around them.  

I would like to give back to Kisharon in any small way that I can and therefore I have decided to face my own challenge by going on a grueling fundraising trek through the Grand Canyon. This demanding hike will take the best part of a week and involves trekking over 50 km in the desert heat!

The difficulties I will encounter in the Grand Canyon are nothing compared to the difficulties of the people and their families who I work with every day. However, I have learnt from them the resilience, patience and faith it takes to overcome personal challenges and I hope that I will be able to use what they have taught me when facing the unforgiving terrain of the Grand Canyon.

However, before the trek even begins my first challenge is to raise the £3000 I need to make for Kisharon. Even the smallest donation is still a big help. Please remember Kisharon's good name and good work and help me to help them by sponsoring me in whichever way you can.
