At 5,895m, is one of the largest volcanoes ever to break through the Earth's crust.
Tara and 4 Brave Trekkers from him! - retail research consultancy have decided to challenge themselves to reach it's summit!
Their trip lasts from the 7 to the 16 August 2010 starting in the rainforests of Lemosho Glades they will head upwards towards Shira Plateau.
From here the team will catch a glimpse of their goal - Kibo, Kilimanjaro's main ice-capped peak. They will continue via the beautiful Southern Flank, Barranco Wall and .
The team has decided to take on this challenge for KidsCan Children’s Cancer Research Centre.
KidsCan is the only charity which researches into specifically children's cancers.
No other charity is known to, and yet they receive no statutory funding. They rely on superb volunteers to encourage the general public to dig deep and help them out!
