As many of you know my wonderful Mum passed away on 19th July 2009 after a brave battle with brain cancer. I have decided to raise money for a charity that dedicates its time to helping sufferers of brain cancer and their families. Brainstrust are a small and fantastic charity (I know a number of you did sponsor me for the Fancy Dress Triathlon and the page is still running, so don’t feel you have to sponsor me again)
Initially I had decided to compete in a Fancy Dress Triathlon, this then developed to Ironman Wales. For those of you who are unaware of this crazy event, it is a 3.8K Sea Swim, followed by a 112 Mile bike ride and full marathon, I hope to complete all this in 17 hours.
Training has been going well, I entered the long course weekend in Tenby over half term on the Ironman Wales course, where I completed a 1.9K sea swim, 72 very hilly miles on the bike and a half marathon. So half way there……
