Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. A brief background on the event and the charity:

The World Duathlon Championships comprise a 10km run - 40 km cycle - 5km run and I have been selected for the Great Britain squad to compete in the USA on 26th September. I will be aiming for the gold medal in my age category having won the silver medal at the European championships in May this year.

I want to compete whilst raising money for Cyclists Fighting Cancer for a couple of reasons:

1. Cycling is a great rehabilitator for all sorts of injuries and illnesses, not least cancer

2. It's a simple but cool proposition - you can easily imagine a child's joy at receiving a shiny new bike

So please help me to reach both my targets, the £500 donation, and the gold medal, by sponsoring me in this way and giving me that extra motivation.

If you haven't already done it, donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thanks a lot for any donation!
