CYM Kilimanjaro trip - February 2013 · 1 February 2013

Climb Your Mountain (CYM) provides free outdoor activities and educational help so children, adults and families can benefit by improving their confidence, self-esteem, health and wellbeing and thus climbing their own personal mountain.

Story

I will be climbing the tallest mountain in Africa in February 2013.

For those who know me, you will know that this is completely out of my comfort zone. I'm better known for my large high heel collection and love of cupcakes!

But over the next few months I will be training hard to prepare for this, the biggest challenge I have ever set myself. Whilst this will be a big challenge for me it is nothing in comparison to what people with depression, anxiety and mental health problems face every day. Climb Your Mountain is a brilliant charity that focusses on offering support, training, motivation and opportunities to prevent and overcome mental and health issues. They do this through exercise and inspiring physical activities as well as offering educational courses.

So over the next few months, please support me by buying one of my cupcakes or coming along to one of the fund-raising events I'll be hosting.
