Story

Swimming something i hated in the beginning however its something I learned to love. My love for swimming has grown over the years and will never stop.

So why do I swim? I swim because It makes me feel free. Everything is laid bare, and the ego is pushed aside. There's no one to judge, no one to impress, no pressure and no stress that comes with the daily activities of life in work and in school. Sometimes I feel as if the swimming pool is the only place I can truly be myself and I can just focus on just one thing... me.

Whenever I swim it is as if nothing else exists apart from me and the water. No words can describe the connection that I have between me and the water, it is as if my mind, body and soul become one.

However this is no longer about me. I've now become a swimmer with a cause. This is something beyond just me now. My aim is to raise £100 for cancer research by doing something which i love to do. If you wish to support me make a small donation

Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie are calling on the nation to get down to the pool for Swimathon 2019 – I will be joining thousands of swimmers, two great causes, one big charity challenge. I will participate in a 5K swim at my local leisure.

Cancer Research UK, the world’s leading cancer charity is dedicated to saving lives through research. They don’t receive any government funding for their work, so their progress is all thanks to the support of people like you.
