GB Sitting Team's Slide the Sport Relief Mile · 13 March 2010

Sport Relief brings the nation together to get active and raise life changing amounts of money through the power of sport. Sport Relief is an initiative of Comic Relief registered charity 326568 (England/Wales); SC039730 (Scotland)

Story

The Sport Relief Mile - traditionally done on your feet but what about on the floor??.....the Great Britain Sitting Volleyball Squad's are taking a new approach to the mile this year by sliding the distance.

On the 13th March, 11am at The National Volleyball Centre in Kettering, teams of 6 will slide-a-mile or 160.9 lengths of the 10m court (approx. 27 lengths per person), having to negotiate under the net and to make it more interesting they will be in competition against each other. Which team will have the best sliding stamina?

The fundraiser will take place during a training camp as the Men prepare for the World Cup in Egypt at the end of March so show your support for the squad's and the Sport Relief cause - donations of all sizes are appreciated and will help us to reach the £2000 target!
