At Young Lives vs Cancer, we help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. We’ll face it all together – but we can’t do it without you. Visit www.younglivesvscancer.org.uk

Story

Approximately 3 months ago some of Lidl Runcorn's finest & fittest athletes decided to embark upon the challenge of competing in the world famous Lidl Bananaman Triathlon. Unfortunately, at late notice the elite team were forced to pull out due to unforeseen circumstances. Therefore , in their place, we were forced to literally scrape the very bottom of the barrel to find a team of 7 unfit, out of shape and generally idle participants. And thus the Lidl ‘dream team’ of Jasper Parsons, Simon Turnbull, Chris Norton, Wayne Meredith, Rayk Voigtlaender, Matt Hunt &  George Melville was formed.

They may not be the cream of the crop, they may not smash course records, they may not look like Brad Pitt in their wetsuits …. but they are ready to swim, cycle and run for your money!!

In aid of CLIC Sargent, they will be strutting their stuff at Dorney Lake on Saturday 5th July, undertaking a triathlon comprising of a 400m swim, a 21.2k bike ride and a 5km run.

Please donate generously and pray for no fatalities on the day!!
