In July this year, 5 boys from South Wales are heading to Austria to take part in the world renowned Iron Man contest!
All five of the participants regularly challenge their fitness levels by competing in local triathlons, but an Ironman triathlon requires dedication to hours of training to build the endurance required to complete such an event. This consists of a 2.4 mile open water swim, followed by a 112 mile bike ride, followed be a marathon (26.2 mile) to finish.
The boys know that a healthy lifestyle, including a balanced diet and regular exercise plays a huge part in staying fit and well. They all know of people who have been affected by cancer and as such want to raise funds through this event in memory of all those that are unfortunately no longer with us or to support those who are currently undergoing treatment.
The team heading out to Austria are: John Littlewood, Scot Davies, Leighton Williams, Richard Lewis & Chris Price.
All sponsorship raised for this event will be donated to Tenovus to help them continue to improve the lives of cancer patients and their families across the communities of South Wales
So please dig deep, support the boys and donate now.
