Team 16 Atkins Graduate Charity Challenge 2016 · 7 October 2016

RedR UK strengthens the capacity of agencies, aid workers and affected communities to prepare, respond, and recover from disaster. We enable effective, inclusive, and sustainable response to complex humanitarian crisis.

Story

As a team we will be attempting to run the 'Muddy Mo' 10k in aid of the charity RedR with only 2 weeks practice! The more sponsorship we receive the muddier we will endeavour to get.

We are a mixture of Atkins graduates from the Bristol, Oxford and Swindon offices, looking to raise money and awareness for the fantastic charity, RedR. Our team consists of:

•    Megan Hansen – Graduate Transport Planner (Bristol)
•    Theodoros Chatziioannou – Graduate Transport Planner (Bristol)
•    Yunpeng Zhu – Graduate Structural Engineer (Oxford)
•    Jack Johnson – Graduate Environmental Scientist (Oxford)
•    Matt Dempster – Graduate Hydrogeologist (Oxford)
•    Tom Norris – Graduate Civil Engineer (Oxford)
•    Burhan Ali – Graduate Engineer (Swindon)

You can either donate directly on this page, or text HPPF80 and the amount you would like to donate (e.g. £3) to 70070. Thank you and think of us next Saturday morning when you're curled up in bed and we're out stomping in the cold mud!

About Redr UK

Redr UK is a remarkable charity that helps build the skills of national aid workers in disaster-prone countries.

From building water sanitation facilities in the poorest parts of Sudan, to rescue efforts in disaster stricken Bangladesh, Redr UK provides the necessary training for workers to prepare and respond to major disasters saving the lives of many.

The training and support provided by Redr UK ensures that vital skills and knowledge remain in-country, where they're needed most. This provides communities with the skills they require in order to prepare for, and deal with, natural disasters.

Having trained 4,195 people across 35 countries in 2015-16, Redr UK now needs your help to further its work and improve the livelihoods and sustainability of these communities for the years to come. As a corporate partner Atkins strive to offer as much support as possible and help raise the funds needed to continue their great work.
