The 3 Peaks Challenge · 13 July 2013 to 14 July 2013 ·

We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

On the weekend of 13/14th July, 11 of the finest athletes ever to grace Capita Life & Pensions aim to tackle one of the toughest challenges known to mankind - the ferocious and uncompromising 3 Peaks Challenge.

For those of you who are unaware of the nature and severity of the task ahead, this will involve transporting to, and scaling the UK's 3 highest peaks; Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in a timeframe of 24 hours. Impossible? Of course not! Training has commenced in earnest and Sir Ranulph Fiennes has already endorsed the mission, sighting it as 'a task tougher then crossing The North Pole' (his words, not mine).

As we shall all be attempting to complete this task as a labour of love and out of sheer stupidity and short-sightedness, we would ask for as many generous donations to our nominated charity of Cancer Research UK as possible. It is a hugely important and worthwile cause and is very close to many people's hearts.

Thanks all for the support and see you in the pub for a much needed pint at the finish line.

James, Al, Al, Helen, Simon, Pete, Martin, Kathryn, Weaver, Jack & George
