As the East Midlands’ only hospice for children and young people, we brighten the short lives of babies, children and young people who come to Rainbows. We want them to have fun and make special memories. We are also here to support their loved ones through the most difficult times of their lives.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page for the 3 Peaks Challenge, 29th April 2011.

The strong team include myself Gareth Purdy, Lauren Insley, Adrian Insley, Jamie Flowers, Lee Marshall, Dominic Mckenzie, Jo Baker and Dan Hillier. Our driver is John McPherson.

This started out as some idle talk amongst work mates in the tea bar, evolving now to an exciting event where we can also make a difference to the lives of those cared for at the Rainbows Hospice. This has taken much planning and training for those participating. Also the support recieved from work colleagues, friends and even outside companies has been tremendous and I can't thank you enough.... you know who you are!

The challenge is going to start with a climb up ben Nevis at first light on Friday morning. At this point the timer is started. The second peak is to be Scafell Pike, finishing with Snowdon. The timer is stopped once we are all back down from Snowdon in the car park!... Phew!

Guys please help us help those at Rainbows Hospice. If I or any of those participating with me have not already approached you with a sponsorship form then donating through Just Giving is simple. JustGiving is totally secure and your details are safe with – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep guys and donate, all is very much appreciated.
