LLR - London Bikeathon 2012 · 16 September 2012 ·

We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

Team Angus - The Olympians. Jonathan Rowland, Paul & George Hunter, Andy Hodgson, Tim Aspeling and Angus Wells completed the LLR London Bikeathon last weekend on 16th September.  They cycled the 2012 route of Olympians including both Box Hill and Leith Hill a 75+ mile route around Surrey to raise money to fund research into finding effective treatment for leukaemia. Have a look at the video clip taken by Paul Hunter http://t.co/oE9Vu9hX. Photos on FB visit https://www.facebook.com/AngusRowlandFMNFund

Angus Rowland died aged 14 from Acute Myeloid Leukaemia which is very difficult to treat in teenagers. He loved to cycle and was just starting to really enjoy the thrill of the mud on his mountain bike.  His family and friends have set up the Angus Rowland FMN fund@LLR and we want to take on this challenge and raise money to prevent other teenagers losing their lives to this disease. You can read his story on http://www.justgiving.com/Angus-Mailey-Rowland

LLR directly fund research into beating blood cancers and over the last 20 years have made a real difference to the outcomes for many. We want to help them in making progress with treatments for AML.

 Thank you

Jonathan, Paul, George, Andy, Tim and Angus
