20.02.11

£50.00 raised on Friday in memory of Bev!

12.02.11

It's a while since I've posted an update on our page, unfortunately this is not a good one and it is with sadness I write that Beverley died peacefully on Friday 11.02.2011. I know the efforts of Team Bradshaw gave Bev much to focus on whilst battling with her illness and both her and Mike have been overwhelmed by the support of this cause and the money raised. I hope that in Bev's memory we can continue to add to our amazing efforts. x

26.09.10

Just added some more offline donations £202.00 from the ball which brings the final figure raised at that event for Breast Cancer Care to £2018.00 (the same amount was also donated to Brian House so £4036.00 raised in total at the ball!) and £50.00 from Carol Wylde donated at our Strawberry Tea - thank you!

19.09.10 - THANK YOU EVERYONE

The Great North Run was completed by Chris 1hr 50mins - amazing!, Gayle 2hrs 3mins - amazing, Gail 2hrs 21mins 16 secs - amazing, Joanne 2hrs 21mins 58 secs - amazing, Martin 2hrs 30mins - amazing, David 2hrs 36mins - amazing. Lauren completed the Junior Run in 29 mins - taking after her mum! We were supported in not great weather by Duncan, Sarah, Paula, Marc, Carol, Hannah & Tracey - we appreciated it! It's the end of a great year of runs, we are all proud of what we have achieved as a team for Breast Cancer Care and Brian House Hospice. We have already made our donation to Brian House and will soon be making our final presentation to Breast Cancer Care, we appreciate every single donation we have recieved.

Our justgiving page will remain active as Mike Bradshaw is intending to hold some fund raising events during his year as Captain at Knott End Golf Club and I hope we may somehow get to £7000.00 by the end of the year!

THANK YOU ALL!

UPDATE 24.05.2010:

The Finlay Fliers have made an amazing contribution of £735.00 to Team Bradshaw Wyre / Breast Cancer Care - THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

'Team Bradshaw Wyre ' has been formed to celebrate the wedding of Mike and Beverley Bradshaw on 26.10.2009. Beverley is bravely fighting cancer and Breast Cancer Care is a charity close to her and Mike.

Our runners are Gail Hunt, Martin Pierce, Paula, David & Marc Ridley, Joanne Ramsbottom, Gayle Bartley, Jo Davis, Chris Hankinson, Chris Brook and Mike Bradshaw.

Great North Runners are Gail, Martin, David, Chris H, Jo, Chris B, Joanne and Gayle, this event takes place on 19.09.2010.

The first 10k is Edinburgh on the 2nd May where Gail, Chris B, Joanne and Gayle will be running, followed by Blackpool on the 9th May. Participants at this event will be everyone except Chris H & Jo. Our 3rd 10k in May is Manchester on the 16th to be run by Gail, Martin, Paula, David, Marc, Joanne, Gayle, Mike & Chris B. We are also hoping that 3 reluctant runners may join us at some of these events namely Jill, Michelle & Mandy.

We then have a 'rest' until the 5th September, the day of the Sheffield run and our final 'warm up' before the GNR where Gail, Martin, Paula, David, Marc, Chris H, Jo and Chris B will be competing.

We are also holding a charity ball on 06.03.2010, proceeds at this event will be shared with our local children's hospice Brian House where Lisa & Steve Turner's daughter Grace is cared for on a regular basis.

We hope that between 06.03.2010 (The Pink Ribbom Charity Ball) and 19.09.2010 (The Great North Run) we will raise £5000 for Breast Cancer Care.

UPDATE:

How amazing, our ball was a great success and as you will see from our offline donations we raised £1815.50 with a little bit more to come in. We'd like to thank everyone who has contributed through our ball and justgiving page and hope that you'll contiue to spread the word and raise more money for our charity. xx

UPDATE:

Thanks to all our off-line donators - Clients of Gail Hunt Interiors, Golfers at Knott End Golf Club, children from Farington Primary School. Leyland

UPDATE:

On 30.04.10 the children, staff and parents at Farington Primary School held a school relay led by Joanne and Gayle and then had a cake sale - they raised an astounding £418.00! THANK YOU TO YOU ALL

UPDATE:

09.05.2010 Blackpool 10k and Team Bradshaw were joined by Paula, Jill, Sarah & Mandy (& dog) who between them helped Bev to the finish line and collected lots of money in our charity buckets mostly down to Jill who probably covered more than 10k 'persuading' groups of hen & stag parties and old people at bus stops to part with their loose change! Gail, Jill & Bev then went to the pub for tea and got a few more donations.

UPDATE:

Thank you everyone for supporting Team Bradshaw Wyre - runners, sponsors, supporters, families & friends!

UPDATE:

16.05.2010 Manchester 10k and our biggest team yet! Regulars Gail, Joanne, Gayle & Chris were joined by Blackpool runners Martin, Paula & David and newcomers Marc & Mike. Our loyal supporters Bev, Tracey, Carol, Hannah & Kieron were joined this week by Laura & Mike. It was a chilly day but we ran as fast as we could. Can't believe that the most untrained unathletic Mike completed in 1 hr 20 mins although he was the only one to leave his 'chip' at home so who knows!!!!!
