Durham Jailbreak Challenge · 14 November 2009

We work to end the exploitation of wild animals and create a future where people and wildlife live in harmony. Across the world, we protect, rescue and care for wild animals in need, while helping communities coexist peacefully with wildlife. Help us take action — and keep wildlife in the wild.

Durham Jailbreak Challenge!

We are taking part in the Jailbreak Challenge set up by Durham University Charity Kommittee (DUCK) which involves getting as far as possible away from Durham Prison in 36 hours, WITHOUT spending any money. Previous teams have got to Los Angeles, Morocco, Warsaw, Prague, Barcelona and Milan. The majority of teams make it out the UK.We aim to get to either Italy or Finland in those 36 hours,

The charity we have chosen to represent is the Born Free Foundation - a charity committed to keeping endangered species out of zoos and to helping them thrive in the wild. Your sponsorship could really make a difference. For example, just £15 could provide medicine for a dancing bear rescued by the foundation, and £30 would give an orphaned elephant calf the chance to survive. Also, your sponsorship could provide us with the incentive we need to go off to Europe, get lost, and wind up somewhere in Kazakhstan.

Depending on your preferance you could either sponsor us per mile or in a single lump sum; either way, any help you can provide would be really appreciated. We set off on 14th November at 8am from Durham Prison so please get sponsoring!!!
