Team Britain For Newborns – saving lives everyday
Ironman Relay Race
Frederik, David & Graham return to take the VNG Ironman 70.3 Vietnam challenge in Da Nang on 8th May. They will be going all out to retain the relayTitle they won last year and to raise awareness and funds for Newborns Vietnam's work to improve the survival of newborn infants in central Vietnam.
The challenge involves a 1.9 km swim, 90 km cycle ride and a 21 km run. The team comprises; David Lloyd, photographer, journalist who has taken on many extreme cycling challenges, Graham Knight, second political secretary at the British Embassy and winner of the 2015 Sapa Mountain Marathon and Frederik Farina an all-round athlete with a high level rowing background and Executive Chef &Director of Food & Beverage at the Hyatt Regency Danang Resort & Spa where the race will start and finish.
They are inspired to take the Ironman challenge to help the next newborn infant survive and to move newborn care in central Vietnam closer to the care we take for granted in the developed world. The team target is $5,000.
