THE LATEST
The run was successfully completed on Sunday 6th March without any major mishaps or injuries(apart from a ruptured tendon). A great time was had by all and we would like to thank everyone for their help and support and if you haven't donated yet please consider doing so.
The Team:
Runners: Dave Ricketts, Chris Jones, Alistair Holland, John Butler, Paul Newman, Rhys Gale, Jonathan Davies and Matt Bradshaw .
Support (including drivers who will run if need be): John Lugsdin, Matt Thomas, James Ersamus, David Parsons, Gareth Lewis, John Moore Anna & Adelle Griffiths and Neil Lorrimer are the team physios.
In December 2008 eight runners ran the 220miles from Amlwch in Angelsey to Cardiff Bay raising over £10,000 for Cancer Research Wales in the process. Only 3 of the original team have survived but we have managed to convince 5 fresh runners to join in the challenge and we have decided to do it again, only this time we intend to start in Cardiff Bay and run to Amlwch and back to Cardiff thereby doubling the challenge and of course the mileage to c440miles.
The run will start on Thursday March 3rd in Cardiff and finish back there on Sunday 6th March. Each runner, all of whom are strictly amateur will be covering over 50 miles. The run will be completed in a continuous relay with one runner on the road at all times.
Please give generously!!!
Donations will be given to Cancer Research Wales, whom we hope you agree are a very worthwhile cause.
