Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page to raise money for The British Heart Foundation.
As many of you will know, Neil Rose sadly passed away in May of 2009. Having attended Neil's memorial service, it was abundantly clear how much good work he did for his local community and how generous he was with his time for a number of different causes. I and many others, felt rather humbled by this and thought that it would be a nice idea to do something in honour of Neil and to help raise some money for charity.
To achieve this worthy aim we have assembled a crack team of "athletes" to take on the Tunbridge Wells Half Marathon on February 28th, 2010. For some of the team it will be their first time over the 13.1 mile distance, for others it will be a light Sunday morning jog, but for all of us it will be great experience. The team will also be joined by four intrepid cyclists whose sport ravaged knees will not allow them to cover the distance on foot, but who have bravely agreed to do a full marathon distance instead.
We will be raising money for two charities, The British Heart Foundation and The Hospice in The Weald. You can find out more about their work by visiting their websites:
