My story
Now that the event is over we really do want to thank you all, so much, for supporting us and not just Huw & Paul but also Bryn & Lainny and Tom & Jenni.
Between all of Team Aber S.A.R. with the help of gift aid, we have raised £4362.5 for Macmillan Cancer Support

We are attempting to complete the MAC 4X4 Challenge 2011 in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support which improves the lives of people affected by cancer. www.mac4x4.co.uk
This is the 10th MAC 4X4 Challenge and last year the event raised a staggering £123000. and we would like to thank everyone who supported us in helping us to raise £1620 towards that total.
This year Team Aber SAR has grown from Tom and I to a 3 Vehicle team, with all 6 team members being Aberystwyth Coastguard and RNLI volunteer crew.
Joining me in the Moonlander this year, as Navigator is Paul Williams
Tom along with Jenny has entered his own Landrover( http://www.justgiving.com/guinevere) and
Bryn and Ellaine (www.justgiving.com/BrynandLainy)
have entered in thier very special Transit Van.
The Mac 4X4 is a true test of navigational,orienteering and observational skills, with on and off road sections. It is a test of real endurance both day and night over 4 long days covering well over 1000 miles with a host of tests en route. We have to be totaly self sufficient from start to finish over the 4 days, camping and catering all from the boot of our vehicles. Camping in the snow in March is particularily testing.
