Hospice in the Weald provides compassionate, individualised, holistic and supportive care for all patients, and those important to them, in West Kent and East Sussex. As a local charity not part of the NHS we need to raise £10m each year to ensure our services can continue.

Marathon completed by all team Sevenoaks, despite the sweltering temperatures!

<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p> <p>On 10 April 2010, eight intrepid and foolhardy teachers from Sevenoaks School will be running the Paris Marathon in aid of Hospice in the Weald.</p> <p>The runners are: <span style="color: #ff0000;"><strong>Alex Smith, Chris Cockerill, Martin Dalibard, David Vaccaro, Jo Gladstone, Sam Gladstone, James Emmitt, and Phil de May.</strong></span></p> <p>The marathon is <strong>42,195 km</strong> in the City of Paris&hellip;We will be running alongside 40,000 other runners, setting off from the Champs &Eacute;lys&eacute;es Avenue to Foch Avenue running through Bastille, Nation, Vincennes, les Tuileries&hellip;</p> <p>Hospice in the Weald provides specialist palliative care advice and clinical support for people with life limiting illness, their family and the bereaved.&nbsp;Services are provided on the basis of need rather than ability to pay. Hospice In The Weald is a charity, dependent on the community to fund its essential work - their Government funding is only around half that afforded to other adult hospices.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Watch this space for fundraising events happening in the New Year.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Tuesday 25 January: "King of Instruments" concert - St Martin's Church, Brasted. </strong>Featuring choirs, chamber groups and soloists from Sevenoaks School. <strong>Update: The concert raised &pound;620!</strong></p> <p><strong></strong>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Sunday 27 February: Tunbridge Wells Half Marathon</strong></p> <p><strong></strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
