Ben Nevis Challenge 2018 · 25 August 2018

We care for patients with a range of needs including symptom management, rehabilitation as well as end of life care. Our goal is to provide physical, psychological, social and spiritual care for our patients and their loved ones in a calm, peaceful and welcoming environment.

Story

St. Andrew's Hospice are the chosen charity for Sky Uddingston in 2018 and 21 brave employees have taken on the challenge to climb Ben Nevis in August - Many of whom have never climbed Tinto hill before never mind the highest mountain in Britain! Each of them have committed to raising a minimum of £350 each so all donations are greatly appreciated and will have a huge impact in providing care for the people of Lanarkshire.

The team we representing Sky Uddingston are;

Kirsty Cairney, Stephen Rankine, Andrew Gunning, Clare Carling, John Rennie, Soraya Ijaz, John Frazer, Jenna McCallion, Michelle Connarty, Lauren Szafranek, Donna Carlin, Kieran Irvine, David McQueen, Chris Sneddon, Sarah Farren, Dan Scott, Hollie Miller, Craig Stirrat, Alan Hogg, Eve Cunnington & Grant Sneddon.

St. Andrew’s Hospice endeavours to provide a high standard of specialist palliative care to the people of Lanarkshire, encompassing human dignity and compassion. As Lanarkshire's only specialist palliative care hospice, we provide multidisciplinary support for our patients, their families and carers. Whilst we receive funding from NHS Lanarkshire and other sources, this only partially covers our running costs. Continued provision of these services is only made possible by the generosity and assistance of the people of Lanarkshire.
