The Stroke Association - The Nation on Trial 2012 - incorporating Stroke for Stroke · 29 February 2012 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the leading charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Technomot are marine power specialists. Normally, that means delivering 50,000 horsepower to the stern of a ship. So it seemed natural to raise money by making a wake. During February and March, the Stroke Association is aiming to raise money through a rowing challenge called The Nation on Trial. We wanted to help.

The challenge is simple - row like fury on a rowing machine for 2,000 metres. We each want to get the best time we can, whilst casually pretending not to be competitive about it.

Big thanks to Tony of Oartec for the loan of the machine and special mentions for generous offline donors Cecilia Bromley-Martin of Liftshare and Chris Downs of Team Engineering.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed if you're a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
