Breaking news - Ian has had to pull out due to personal reasons but Steven Tiffany has kindly agreed to join me instead. Steven is also a member of Yorks-Lincs 4x4 Response so we maintain the team integrity.

Well I'm back again. Last years event was a reasonable success on the competitive front (10 OA and 1st on the night navigation section) and we raised over £1000 fro Macmillan to boot. The event itself raised over £100k last year bringing the total from 7 years of running to over £500k.
I was hoping to have a rather well known rally driver partnering me this year but he is now committed to a program in China for 2010 and one of the rounds classes. So I had a quick scout around for a suitable suspect to partner me and gave Ian Clark a call.

Humber-Yorks (now Yorkshire and Lincolnshire) 4x4 Response was Ian's brain child and we first met when he was looking for members to start the organisation up, we've been friends ever since, though inevitably life gets in the way and we never both get out to the same events, but anyway I'm sure we'll have a good time.

Now I know how the event works well have to see if we can't improve on last years results.

The Terrano is about ready to roll, a few tidying up jobs but on the whole there's not a left lot to do, so hopefully no last minute finishing off in the car park at the start this year. That said all last years mods paid off and meant we had a comfortable and straight forward run.

So come on give us a donation, every single penny is donated to Macmillan, we're paying all our own costs, like entry, fuel and food.

If cancer hasn't effected you or someone close to you, count yourself very lucky there's not many can say that and Macmillan do a great job in helping when it's most needed, I've seen that first hand and they are a very worthy cause.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
