Story

TEAM TECHNIP!!

A team of fearless cyclists from Technip are saddling up for a muscle-burning 180-mile fundraiser, in aid of Cornerstone!

The cyclists from the Westhill-based company are hoping to raise a massive £30,000 for Cornerstone, a Scottish charity which supports social care and support services for adults, children and young people with disabilities.

The cycle – scheduled to take place over two days on Thursday and Friday, August 19th and 20th – will see the team, led by Peter Nellany, set off from Ullapool on a two-day journey, working back to Aberdeen.

Pete explained: “The plan is to have one group completing the entire 180-mile route, while another relay group takes it in turns to cycle, then rest - this will allow less experienced cyclists to take part. We are hoping to raise as much money as possible along the way.

“Technip has supported Cornerstone and its excellent work for a number of years now, and with this being their 30th anniversary, we decided to really go for it with the cycle.”
