Over the past 10 years, Veteran entertainer Ted Selby, has raised £34,000 for Bury Hospice.
Ted, a former professional musician, plays the electric keyboard and piano with his group Ted Selby and his Entertainers.
The group are a well-known sight around care homes and day centres across Greater Manchester, where they perform charity concerts to raise money.
Ted's story has touched many lives including that of celebrity hairdresser Lee Stafford. Ted and his fundraising were recently identified by the television programme Secret Millionaire, during which, Lee visited Bury and spent time with Ted and his entertainers and at Bury Hospice. Ted himself has battled with cancer for a number of years. He has only recently undergone more surgery. Where others might concentrate on their own health, on being discharged from Hospital, Ted's first thoughts were of the Hospice and how he could raise even more money.
