On Sunday 4th October, I'll be taking part in the George Thomas Hospice's 'Walk in the Park 2009' in memory of my mother, Pauline Hawkins, who passed away in September 2009. I know it's not exactly a marathon, but I'm hoping you'll cut me a little slack given that I'm pregnant and even walking up a slight incline at the moment leaves me puffed out!
The George Thomas Hospice is a charity that my mother supported when she was alive, and provided home care to her during her final weeks. Without donations and fund raising events such as these they would not be able to provide the much needed palliative care to cancer sufferers, so I hope you'll agree that this is a deserving charity. Your sponsorship, however small, will be much appreciated, so please dig deep now (and remember that clicking on the gift aid option will add another 20p per £1 to your donation if you are a UK taxpayer).
Thanks for your support,
Teresa
