Our Macmillan Nurse helped to make my husband Robin as comfortable as possible during his battle with Cancer, a Macmillan nurse was assigned to us and there was always someone available day and night to help with any problems. Not only did Macmillan provide a nurse to assist they helped by advising us about benefits and assisting in completing forms. They arranged for equipment to make life a little easier such as stair lifts etc. After Robin passed away on the 2nd April 2008 they continued to support me by offering bereavement counselling. I have also received tremendous support from the Macmillan Chat website which enabled me to talk to other people in a similar situation, I have made lifelong friends who are always there for me, we meet up regularly often for charity fund-raisers and have a lot of laughs and some tears together. I don't know how I would have coped without Macmillan and want to say a huge THANK YOU to them by raising loads of money so they can continue to help cancer suffers and carers alike, they really do make a difference.
Jade and I would love to reach our target of £200 :-)
