My 16 year old son Daniel and I are planning to walk up Pen Y Fan in the Brecon Beacons on 13th August 2011.

We are doing this to raise money to build a memorial to those UK Forces and Islanders who lost their lives in 1982 during the fight to regain the Falkland Islands.

The memorial will be sited at the National Memorial Arboretum in Alrewas, Staffordshire.

The total required to build the memorial is in excess of £60000 and we hope to unveil it in May 2012, the 30th Anniversary of the conflict.
