Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In October I will be running the Liverpool Marathon in aid of Make a wish foundation. This particular charity works with children and young people aged between 3-17 who are living with life threatening conditions, helping to grant them a magical wish.
I always embrace an opportunity to raise money for charity, taking part in the last two Mo-Vember's amongst other things, however due to the birth of our first child at the end of October and not wanting to look like an extra from a 70's movie in all of the baby’s pictures I decided on running the Liverpool marathon. Anybody who has run and trained for a marathon will know how hard and demanding this can be, but this is nothing in comparison to what these children and young people face daily and this is something that will drive me on during the long and painful training sessions which lay ahead. Running this marathon will hopefully enable me to promote this wonderful charity and raise as much money as possible for such a fantastic cause.
Make a wish has granted over 8,000 wishes in its 25 year history and will hope to grant a further 1400 this year, meaning the charity will have to find at least 6.8 million if they want to realise that aim. With this in mind please give generously to help give a small child such a big experience.
Thank you very much for reading and truly any donation, no matter how small, are greatly appreciated and will go a long way to helping these children have a magical wish granted.
Terry
