Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Cry in the Dark is just an amazing Christian charity. The work it does with young people who have life limiting illnesses and disabilities truly demonstrates how Jesus's love and compassion can burst forth from the human heart. Working amonsgt some of the most impoverished regions of Romania it has created a home that now lovingly caters for 22 orphans with varying degrees of disablement and learning difficulties. It also runs a day care centre-come-hospice which provides activities for children who again are suffering from a range of debilitating illnesses. It is also a centre from which an outreach medical team go into the poor community offering care and support where there would otherwise be none.
Such is the respect for Cry in the Dark amongst not only the people in the community, but the local authorities as well, the charity is negotiating and working extremely hard to improve the facilities of a Roma village remotely situated a few miles outside of the city of Bacau. This community has no running water, no sanitation. It is not conditions that you would expect to find in 21st century Europe.
The work of Cry in the Dark has changed many lives. Having witnessed just a fraction of what they do, it has changed my life too. This is why on Saturday 20th July 2013 I will be handcuffing myself to a lampost or tree for 24 Hours in order to raise both funds and awareness for Cry in the Dark. I would be very gratefull for all your support both financially and prayerfully.
My enchainment is for 24 Hours. Those that Cry in the Dark serve are chained to their disabilities and illnesses for a lifetime. So please dig deep and donate now.
