Thanks John.

<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span></p> <p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;" class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;">I don&rsquo;t know why I applied for this Marathon.</span></strong></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span></p> <p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;" class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">I took up running as my old dad used to say to me son, before you criticise someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticise them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes. This philosophy has always stood me in good stead. </span></span></p> <p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;" class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"> </span></span></p> <p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;" class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">So to reach my target time I have taken to running early in the morning, before my brain works out what I am really doing. I will be doing this all through the winter months in the dark, cold and wet, overcoming all manner of aches and pains.</span></span></p> <p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;" class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"> </span></span></p> <p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;" class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Only recently on one of my extended half a mile training runs I tried to set my own pace and blacked out after five minutes, it was then I thought I was probably running too fast. After that experience I decided whilst training, to slow down a bit. Passing Children often taunt me, but after a while, I have become accustomed to this and I am even starting to enjoy it.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span></p> <p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;" class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><strong>Then I remembered&hellip;Whizz-Kidz&hellip;.who </strong><span style="mso-ansi-language: EN;"><strong>aim is to ensure that every disabled child has an opportunity to be something special&hellip;a kid.</strong></span></span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="mso-ansi-language: EN;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">There are an estimated 70,000 disabled children and young people in the UK waiting for a wheelchair that fits their young lives. That&rsquo;s where we come in. Whizz-Kidz provides disabled children with the essential wheelchairs and other mobility equipment they need to lead fun and active childhoods.</span></span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="mso-ansi-language: EN;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Giving a disabled child a wheelchair is just the start of their journey with Whizz-Kidz. All around the country disabled children and young people are meeting and making friends at our growing network of local clubs. They&rsquo;re having fun whizzing around obstacle courses, knocking over skittles, doing wheelies and learning about boring but important things like road safety at our wheelchair skills courses. And because growing up can be a bit scary, they&rsquo;re taking part in our work placement programme and building confidence at our life skills events.</span></span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"> <span style="font-family: &amp;quot;Times New Roman&amp;quot;; font-size: 12pt; mso-fareast-font-family: &amp;quot;Times New Roman&amp;quot;; mso-ansi-language: EN; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;">So please help me to help Whizz-Kids a fantastic and worthy cause&hellip;..Thanks so much for your contribution </span></span></span></p> <p>Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
