The Brain & Spine Foundation has been a charity that we have supported over the past 11 years by participating in events such as The Clacton Triathlon, The London Marathon & Harwich Triathlon. The foundation was chosen following the suffering of local friends and family members that have passed away or been injured through Brain & Spine injuries. There are more people who die from Brain & Spine related injuries/conditions than from more common illnesses such as Cancer, there is also a shortage of specialist surgeons in larger areas of the UK. The information provided by the foundation is helping to address this and asists with information for general surgical consultants.
Back in 2008 we raised over £6,000 and this really gave us an incentive to run for. We all hope that with your support once again; we can double this figure and continue to be really inspired to run the 26+ miles well. Please, please dig deep and donate as much as possible so this marvellous organisation can continue its reseach into Brain & Spine injuries that could effect any one of us.
