We are a UK charity tackling some of the biggest societal challenges through our work with children who desperately need a break. We put magic into their lives, through our inspirational respite holidays with no screens and lots of time spent outdoors. Help us create memories that last a lifetime.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Three of the Management team of Ginsters and a Training and Development leader officer from BD Diagnostics are facing the challenge of a lifetime as they gear up to tackle the Three Peaks Challenge in August.

The team consist of Kim Campbell  Alan James , Allen Harding who are all from the Pasty makers Ginsters, and Melody Camp a Training and Development leader from BD Diagnostics.

The challenge is to climb Ben Nevis, Scarfell Pike and Snowdon all in 24 hours, which involves 24 miles of walking and 400 miles of driving, so you can imagine it is quite an extreme challenge.

The team are training hard using the cornish coastal path from Polruan to Loo and has already tackled the two highest peaks in the south west that of Yes Tor and High Wilhay on Dartmoor. So hopefully we will be at least semi prepared.

The team are raising funds for Chicks Charity, Chicks ( Country Holidays for Inner city Kids ), CHICKS aims to provide as many disadvantaged children as possible with the life enhancing experience of a free respite break away in the countryside at one of our centres in Devon or Cornwall.

CHICKS helps children from a variety of different backgrounds, just a few examples are children growing up in poverty, children of prisoners, and children who have been abused, either physically, emotionally or sexually. CHICKS also provides breaks for young carers.

The team can currently be seen training around the Tamar Valley huffing and puffing their way up hill and down dale, But the hard work will be worthwhile if they manage to raise the minimum of £2400 they need to raise for the charity

So please dig deep and donate now.
