Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We are delighted to tell you that we will be cycling from London to Brighton on July 23rd! As you can imagine, none of us have never cycled anything like this distance and so we would really appreciate it if you could sponsor me as much or as little as you can.
We are raising money for the New North London Synagogue Asylum Seekers Drop-In Centre. The centre supports asylum seekers who do not have status and are living in destitution, reliant on charities to survive. Volunteers offer signposting to legal advice, medical treatment, counseling, a cooked meal, a basic food parcels and nearly new clothes and shoes. The service is run entirely by volunteers but everything costs money. They have 800 people on their books from 28 different countries! For more information, see http://www.nnlswebsite.co.uk/page.php?ID=83.
We are also raising money for the Ruth Schneider Trust, aka Noam Bursary Fund, so that financial difficulty will not be a barrier for anyone having the meaningful experience of participating in Noam.
