The DMD Trust raises funds for research into cures for Duchenne & Becker Muscular Dystrophy. Duchenne is the UK's second most common inherited life-threatening disease.

Story

The Cannon - Saturday 17th May 2008 sees three bands providing around three hours of music - all proceeds going towards helping find and deliver a cure for Duchenne/Becker Muscular Dystrophy!

The bands supporting the event - Closer, Sticky Wicket and Mad, Bad, Phat & Dangerous are flexing their musical muscles, hopefully you all enjoy yourselves and make it worthwhile flexing your financial muscles - it's a team effort - without everyone's input it wouldn't work - together we make it happen - so in advance, thanks to everyone who has found the time to come along in person and also again if they've contributed via this site, it is very much appreciated, as well as or instead of "on the door". We all hope you had a great evening.

By taking part, you will be helping those for whom everyday is a superhuman effort, who do not have the functional 656 muscles that we each have, to do everything from enabling our lungs to breathe, our hearts to beat, we're able to smile, walk and RUN ... whilst at the same time raising vital funds for our chosen charity, which is driving it forward - The Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Trust, whose aims are to fund research and to help deliver a cure.
