Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are The Dan Knight Warriors and we are taking on the Southend Half Marathon all in the name of an amazing unique man - Dan Knight.

In February 2012 he was told he had less than 2 years to live after we discovered he had a brain tumour - 6cm in diameter - Glioblastoma Multiforme Grade 4. Following surgery - 6 weeks radiotherapy and 8 months of chemotherapy it grew back - 7cm by 3cm so he started more chemotherapy and avastin.  He has just had his 83rd infusion of avastin and he continues to amaze the doctors. Dan is still proudly fighting and is an absolute legend.

So we are putting on our runners and hitting the seafront to join an epic Southend Half Marathon to raise crucial funds for Havens Hospices.

Please do get involved, spread the word and perhaps make a donation towards this worthy fund.
