The Guvnors Club Mongolian Challenge – 1 Ambulance, 5 Mountain Ranges & 10,000 miles in just 3 weeks

Two intrepid Guvnor’s from MediaCityUK are about to embark on a challenge with a difference – a 3 week drive across Europe and Asia to deliver an ambulance top Mongolian aid charities.

Matthew McCarrick and Scott Delaney are taking part in the Mongol Rally and have taken on the challenge in aid of Medequip4kids. The route sees them starting from the MediaCityUK project, travelling to Goodwood Race Course to meet up with other UK teams and then across to the Czech Republic for the official start, continuing the miles across Slovakia, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan and within three weeks finishing at Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia.

Medequip4kids has raised over £10 million to provide items of medical equipment for children's wards, neo natal units and community health teams across the north of England.

 

The charity provides a unique service fundraising on behalf of medical staff, play therapists, community nurses and the ambulance service to ensure babies, children and teenagers recieve the best possible care when sick or injured.
