Rosemary was perfectly fit and involved with many activities she loved including singing and teaching until 8 weeks before she died of cancer of the pancreas. The care and support she received from District Nurses, Macmillan Cancer Support and Crossroads Care allowed her to be at home as long as possible. Towards the end when she was too weak even to move herself in bed the care given by East Cheshire Hospice was invaluable. She relaxed visibly as soon as she was in her single room, confident in the ability of the Hospice to care for her every need. She so much enjoyed the extravagance of a jacuzzi and foot massage. This all helped the whole family to get through this difficult time. She was able to keep her dignity to the very end.

The work of the Hospice is genuinely priceless.
