Story

This year the Magnet challenge team are planning to climb the height of Everest (29,029ft) in just 24 hours for a charity that is close to many of our hearts as mountineers. The crazy volunteers are; Heather Rowland, James Burton, Emma Squire, Nicky Hamlyn, Martyn Dranfield, Chris O’Brien, Gareth Williams, Alex Bizzell, Verity Watson, Gregory Nunn, Izy Somers and Gethin Holloway.

The challenge will take place at Boulders Climbing Centre in Cardiff on the Spring Bank Holiday, (25th-27th May). The 24 hours will be split over three days and will be completed by the full team on continuous rotations who need to keep a pace of 37 climbing routes per hour.

So please dig deep and donate now to make our aching muscles and hours of training worthwhile for this special charity on their 50th Anniversary!!
