THE CHALLENGE....On the 18th July, a team of eager volunteers are completing The Great Weston Ride- A 56 mile cycle from Bristol to Weston- super- Mare through the Mendips and Somerset Levels....on a quadracycle!
On rough calculation this is going to take around 9 hours, so the team will be relaying throughout the day, cycling until their little legs can cycle no more! Make no bones about it, this is not a jog on a beach or a walk in the park type event. The Great Weston Ride, although fun is a tough one. To even contemplate doing it on something less than a fully geared bicycle is one thing, doing in on a Quadracycle ticks the insanity box!
THE TEAM: Emma, Rhiannon, Mary and David Williams,
WHY: The team have many different reasons for getting involved. Some have been directly affected by Cancer and the work undertaken by Macmillan, and would like to help them to continue to help the thousands upon thousands of people that they work with. Others see this as a personal physical challenge with the added bonus of raising some money. What ever the reason, everyone is dedicating their time and effort to undertake what is genuinely going to be a really tough challenge.
Thank you!
The Quad Squad
