The Riders (in no particular order).
Oliver Houchell, (Ol)
My sister-in-law Tatty has diabetes. I've been looking out for something to do for Diabetes UK for a while now - and here's my chance! Looking forward to those long hours in the saddle with Fin and Tristan by my side (hopefully not miles in front of me, and certainly not miles behind me...).
Finian O'Donnell (Fin)
'Hello', I'm Fin and went to university with Ol and Tristan 20 years ago now, I can hardly believe how the time since has flown by.
I understand how much diabetes can effect peoples lives, both young and old, as a friend has had it since school and my father now has it later in his life.
I have cycled all my life and I am very happy to undertake this challenge with my good friends to help raise some money for the Diabetes UK Charity.
As both Tristan and myself grew up in west Cornwall we decided on the Scotland to Cornwall direction so that we can finish back home - wish us luck!
Tristan Bund (Tris or Bundy or Bund)
I'm really excited about this challenge, as not only am I doing it with great company, but we all turned 40 this year. But, it's not really about us, this is about raising awareness and support for all those affected by diabetes. Not least for my mum, who developed diabetes back in 1992. She's now 67, swimming regularly and generally keeping fit. Mum, it's all your fault!!..............................................
