The Looney Tunes Team are competing in a It’s A Knockout Charity day to raise money for IntoUniversity.  IntoUniversiry targets disadvantaged children and young people between the ages of 8-18 who are most at risk of failing to meet their potential to go to university due to economic, social, cultural or linguistic disadvantage.

However its objectives are broader than simply getting young people into university: it aims to raise their aspirations from an early age and help them to make better life choices by providing a sustained and integrated programme of support.  It allows them to develop the academic, social and practical skills that will help them to succeed in life.

IntoUniversity builds relationships with young people at Year 3 (age 7/8) and continues to support them to university access and beyond. At the heart of the programme is the belief that underachievement is best addressed in the context of a long-term pastoral engagement with young people where we can build their esteem and support their learning in order that they can reach their potential.

 

As well as competing in a ‘It's a Knockout’ challenge, The Looney Tunes will be also be spreading a little happiness in our wider White Stuff community by doing the following things to raise money for IntoUniversity;

We will be auctioning off an original White Stuff themed work of art here at Head Office!!  Once the masterpiece is complete, we will be taking blind bids by email and at the end of the day the highest bidder will be the lucky owner of this lovely one-off!
